Newfie
The Newfoundland Fisherman's sweater for Howie is done, blocked, and being worn. It passed all of the tests: soft, lightweight, warm, neck not choking, sleeves slightly too long, etc, etc. I'm so happy it's done because now I can start a project for myself!

I just love how this sweater came out. The texture of the knit, the texture of the wool, the colors all make is work. (Howie picked out the yarn by the way).

A close up view of the collar and sleeve detail.

He was even getting silly with it all - posing for the pictures. I think I've had him watch Project Runway with me one too many times!
Last night I started my Ribby Cardy from Chicknits. I got gauge, then proceeded to cast on using the larger needles - WOOPS!. I figured it out after two or three rows of ribbing, so I ripped and started again. I have about two rows knit all over again, right back to where I started. Hopefully that is not going to keep happening during this project. I'd like a sweater before it gets too cold.....
