Finally Finished
As of about one hour ago, Howie's sweater (otherwise known as the afghan) is finally done!
It's been a long time in the making, it kept getting put aside for other projects. But I made the final push in the last week or so to complete it. It's beautiful, it fits great, and it's warm, soft and cozy. No photos tonight though. There's been some packing going on.
On the home front, we finally finished the bathroom! That's been about 19 months worth of tiling, painting, drywalling, and plumber angst. Plumber number 2 finally got the job done right. Long, painful, expensive story that I won't bore you with.
Pictures of both finished projects next week. Tomorrow Howie and I leave for Eastport, ME to do some SCUBA diving. Cold but beautiful is what we hear. It's about as far east as you can go and still be in the US. It's what we Mainers call "Downeast". And it's about 6 or 7 hours from here. Maine is a pretty big state for New England.
Hopefully we'll have some great underwater photos to post!
My only problem is what to bring to knit. I have an almost done sock that's coming along, and after that, I don't know. It might be too late at night to actually plan and pack a new project - what with the gauge swatch I'll need to knit and all.... maybe I'll just wing it! (Famous last words).
